The Nature of Definition and Its Rules
The author said: This work is a book in which I gathered the scattered questions of the subject, arranged them into chapters, indicated the sources of the transmitted reports in the footnotes, and added to each chapter an introduction explaining its purpose.
According to those versed in theoretical inquiry, the purpose of a definition is to distinguish the thing defined from others. When the wording does not fully fulfil this purpose, it is regarded not as a definition, but as a description or a verbal definition.
He was the first to introduce the idea of a universal essence into the definition of things. For this reason, the universal definition was regarded as an aim attained through induction, and it was stated that knowledge rests on these two foundations.

Subtitle timing
Cue durations, line length and reading speed are checked; lines over the limit are listed as findings.
Cut padding
Silences are trimmed with padding left at both ends, not cut flush. You can preview how tight the cuts are and change it.
